YK Osiris is bouncing back from the fake watch allegations by purchasing himself an authentic Richard Mille watch.Ā
On Friday, the viral Instagram accountĀ @FakeWatchBuster, which sports nearly 300,000 followers, put the crooner on blast. In their opinion, he was seen sporting a fraudulent red Richard Mille RM50-03 McLaren F1 Tourbillon. This piece was initially introduced in 2017, yet only 75 were manufactured, valued at $1 million. The watch enthusiasts pointed out that Osirisās chronograph featured several dead giveaways, including an incorrect shape and wrong positioning of the bezel screws.

The comment section was cruel to the 24-year-old, comparing Osirisās fake watch to a G-Shock and slamming him for not being able to afford a genuine timepiece. The āWorth Itā singer responded to the internet dragging by finding himself a new watch, this time a real one that Fake Watch Buster would approve of. In a now-deleted Instagram Story, Osiris showed off his newest, more convincing piece of wrist jewelry, even tagging the watch vigilantes in the clip. In a separate view of the watch, the artist seemingly hints at regret for his pricey purchase, writing, āI gotta stop buying sh*t cuz of ego lol.ā

A fake watch comes as no surprise, considering the one-hitter has been open about his money woes in the past. After releasing his smash single, āWorth It,ā Osiris admitted to going broke. He spent money recklessly and then began gambling, which led to him owing debts to Young Thug, Boosie, Drake, and Lil Baby.Ā
But on the bright side, if he is able to afford even one Richard Mille watch, thatās an indicator that his finances are back on track.Ā
