To celebrate the release of Stella Meghie and Will Packer’s romantic/drama, “The Photograph,” Hollywood’s finest took to New York to secure a seat for an early screening of the film.
“Insecure” actor Y’lan Noel spoke with Baller Alert about the forthcoming film and revealed why it’s a must-see for the black community.
“It’s a beautiful story about love and love is complex, so whenever we have an opportunity to see it depicted as purely as this, I feel like we should take advantage of that,” Noel said. “It’s humanity on the screen, it’s people that look like us on the screen, and I think that there’s a simplicity and a clarity in it that people will really gravitate to.”
With a Valentine’s Day release date, Noel said the film is the perfect love day date, but he also shared a few other ideas for those that are looking for a little more excitement, or lack thereof.
“If this is my girlfriend that we been steady for a couple of years, we not going nowhere,” Noel said. “We going to be at the house.”
“It’s a lot of distractions in the world, so whenever you could have an opportunity to just be you and your soulmate, I feel like you should take advantage of that,” Noel said, adding, “I’m a homebody.”
As for his return to “Insecure,” he said you’ll just have to watch to find out.
