Young Chop was arrested following his stunt to track down rapper 21 Savage earlier this week. On Monday, which marked one day after livestream footage of Young Chop pursuing 21 Savage in an Uber was posted , the rap producer was booked on a misdemeanor charge of reckless conduct in Georgia’s Gwinnett County.
Reportedly, Chop’s search for 21 lead him to brandishing a semiautomatic handgun during an argument with an unidentified man. The man then followed Chop and the driver after returning to their Uber and also fired shots before speeding off from the scene.
XXL reports that Chop requested that the driver did not report the incident, but the driver did allegedly take Chop home afterwards as the producer offered to take care of damages.
While Chop, whose legal name is Tyree Pittman, has taken to IG Live to claim that expired tags was the reasoning behind his arrest, many of the artists that he has aimed at recently suggest that the producer needs serious help. Not only did Meek Mill state that he believes Chop is suffering from mental health issues, French Montanna has also publicly stood up and said Chop needs to seek help before he gets hurt.
In addition to 21 Savage, Meek Mill, and French Montanna, Young Chop has taken shots at many artists from Drake to Sukihana as well.
