On Tuesday, family and close friends of Young Dolph gathered in Memphis, Tennessee, to lay the beloved rapper to rest in an intimate ceremony.
Fox 13 Memphis reporter Jeremy Pierre attended the Celebration of Life and shared photos of Dolph’s obituary, which featured pictures of the rapper alongside his children, partner, and closest family members. The Memphis Police Department was on scene during the ceremony assisting with traffic as the hearse was being escorted to a cemetery in South Memphis as bystanders watched on.

MPD shared that the family is requesting privacy during their time of mourning, especially from the media, who were asked to keep their distance during the funeral so that the ceremony was not interrupted in any way.
Dolph, whose real name is Adolph Thornton, Jr., was gunned down on November 17th while inside Makeda’s Cookies. So far, police have not announced any suspects, though they have located the white Mercedes Benz used in the murder.
The dreadful day brings to a close the life and career of one of Memphis most beloved rappers, who gave back to his community through turkey giveaways, speaking engagements, and other fundraising events.
Let’s continue to keep Young Dolph’s loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
