One of the men accused of killing rapper Young Dolph has been stripped of his phone privileges after releasing new music from jail.

Justin Johnson seems to still think he has a chance at a music career despite facing decades behind bars for murdering the “Get Paid” star. On November 10th, he released his track “No Statements” on his YouTube channel. Judge Lee Coffee caught wind of the record and immediately moved to prevent Johnson from being on the phone completely.

In the record, released under his rap name, Straight Drop, he addresses his murder charges.

“The state say that I’m a paid killer. I seen my paperwork say I’m a real gravedigger,” he raps.

In another line, Johnson seems proud of his current murder trial, calling it the “biggest case out of Memphis,” before assuring listeners that he would beat the charges, minimalizing his incarceration to nothing more than a “lil body.” The entire song was recorded during a jail call.

Johnson is one of several men awaiting trial for the slaying of Dolph in November 2021. The elaborate murder plot has continued to unfold in the year since his death, with Cornelius Smith and Johnson being named as gunmen in the case. Hernandez Govan was arrested earlier this month and is said to be the mastermind behind the entire hit with the help of Jermarcus Johnson, who has also been charged with conspiracy.

Additionally, Judge Coffee took away Johnson’s visitation privileges. He may now only meet with his attorneys.
