Young Dolph‘s alleged killers’ court date has been moved after new evidence suggests the information is vital for the judge. Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith are the two men being accused of killing the rapper last year.
The pair appeared in court on Friday, May 27, when the attorneys interrupted, saying they received a new discovery that heavily affected the judge settling Smith’s bond. The new hearing date is July 1, and Smith’s bond hearing will also be on that day.

Smith’s attorney, Michael Scholl, said, “We are receiving more information, and I want to take a look at it. One of the factors that go into the bond is the likelihood of conviction. Other factors are [whether the accused is a] flight risk.”
Two months after Dolph’s murder, Johnson was linked to the shooting outside of the Memphis bakery, Makeda’s Cookies. He was arrested in Indiana shortly after an arrest warrant was issued. Meanwhile, Smith was identified and arrested in connection to the vehicle because the car was linked to a separate shooting.
