Nearly four months after Young Dro was arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend, the Atlanta rapper has been sentenced to jail time.
The incident occurred back in July, following an argument over money. Amid the dispute, according to TMZ, Dro allegedly punched the woman and smashed a plate of banana pudding in her face before vandalizing the living room furniture with a kitchen knife.
Although the alleged victim refused to press charges, Dro was arrested anyway, as the incident left the woman with bruises.
Months later, the rapper pleaded guilty to 1 count of battery/family violence and has since been sentenced to 12 months behind bars. But, according to the publication, he was only ordered to serve 70 days.
In addition to the reduced jail time, the rapper also got credit for 20 days time served and will receive an extra day of credit for each day of good behavior. If Dro stays on the right track, he could be released as early as October 5.
However, according to the publication, the rapper will remain on probation for the remaining 12 months, despite his release. He will also have to remain sober, submit drug/alcohol tests within 30 days of release, and attend domestic violence counseling.
