Fulton County is not taking YSL’s RICO case lightly. A judge has denied Young Thug and Gunna’s bond.
The presiding judge believes Thug will be at risk of committing more felonies and interfere with a more significant RICO case if released. The judge says he “agrees with the State’s argument” against the bond. He also cited Thug’s 2018 drug case in DeKalb County that’s currently outstanding. The judge noted that the charges from that case were “the same charges alleged here.”
In addition to Thug’s initial two charges, seven more were added following the raid of his home. The charges included: possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute, possession of illegal firearms, and participation in criminal gang activity.
The Fulton County District Attorney says YSL is a “hybrid criminal gang” that has an association with the Bloods. However, the rapper’s lawyers have maintained their innocence, denying their involvement in any gangs.
If you’re not aware, Gunna, Young Thug, and 26 YSL members were indicted on RICO charges. On Monday, they were charged with 56 counts of conspiracy to violate the RICO act, including drugs, murder, and guns.
