Young Thug seemingly dodged a question about the current status of his relationship with Gunna, another sign that the dynamic duo is irretrievably broken.

In a recent interview with GQ, Thug was asked directly, “What’s that relationship like now?” He hesitated before responding, “I know everybody’s wondering that…I don’t know.”
This vague answer comes after the Instagram page for Thug’s label, Young Stoner Life, was stripped of all posts about Gunna. Despite claiming uncertainty, many fans believe Thug’s new album, “Uy Scuti,” is going to tell the true state of their fractured bond.
On the newly released lead single, “Money On Money,” featuring Future, Thug raps, “These f**k n***as tellin’ for nothin’, and I gotta be the one callin’ ’em friends.”
Listeners quickly interpreted the line as a subtle jab at Gunna, who faced criticism after accepting a plea deal early in their YSL RICO case. The song doesn’t stop there. Thug continues with lines that feel even more aimed at the rap star.
“Brother, you a rat (My brother),” and “Twin, you a rat, you smoked, uh,” Thug firmed stated over the beat.
These lyrics intensified the belief that the friendship between the two is likely finished. As for Gunna, he has remained quiet on the matter in the past months. It’s likely he will keep it that way.
