Young Thug Reveals He Nearly Died From Kidney and Liver Failure

Recently #Offset held a virtual musical live stream named ‘Offset and Friends,’ in order to raise proceeds for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Complex reports.

Artists that participated in the online concert include Rich The Kid, Saint JHN, and Young Thug.

During Thug’s set, he opened up about a time where he nearly lost his life suffering from kidney and liver failure.

“So, I kinda just stayed in the bed, and I was like, ‘Yo call the ambulance. I can’t move my body,’ Thug explained. “When the ambulance came, I couldn’t get out of the bed.”

The story led into a performance of his song ‘Killed Before’ off his collaborative mixtape with Future, Super Slimey, which features the lyrics “Everyone know I’ve been killed before.”

“They had to get me out of the bed basically,” he continued. “I felt like my whole body was numb and I couldn’t move. I went to the hospital, and I had found out that I had liver and kidney failure. And I kinda had sorta passed away like I kinda died. I was in the hospital for like 17 days. I left the hospital, my mom didn’t trust it. So I left the hospital, went to another hospital, they was like, ‘Man, you got liver and kidney failure. You supposed to be dead. Basically, you’ve been dead.’ I’ve been killed before.”

Following his performance, Thug reminded his fans that drugs are dangerous and informed them to use his story as a warning.

“Drugs aren’t good, don’t do drugs,” Thug added.
