In reports obtained by TMZ, Young Thug’s personal driver Derrick Thrasher is threatening the rapper with a lawsuit over the alleged assault that also involved rapper Lil Duke.
Thrasher says that Thug invited him to a Los Angeles party in May where he was allegedly assaulted. His lawyers say that Thrasher left the party after he got into an argument with rapper Lil Duke, who is signed to Thug’s label YSL Records, in order to avoid a fight. When it was time for Thug to leave the party he called Thrasher for a ride home; when he got back to the party is when he says the assault took place.
In the letter threatening the lawsuit, Thrasher’s lawyers say that he was held down, and repeatedly punched and kicked, and was hit with a bottle over his head. As a result of the alleged assault he has to have surgery.
If the settlement isn’t reached between Thug and Duke’s parent label 300 entertainment and Thrashers team, then Thrasher plan to file the lawsuit.
Neither Duke nor Thug have responded to the allegations. It’s also unclear why any of them were attending a party in May during California’s strict lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
