Day three of the Young Thug YSL Rico trial took yet another rocky turn when a video accidentally captured images of the jury.
To make matters worse, the recording showing the juror’s faces was published on several blog sites such as No Jumper. This created a serious security threat. When Judge Ural Glanville learned of the leak, he briefly called a meeting with attorneys from both sides to address the situation. Initially, there was much speculation surrounding the abrupt meeting. However, any talks of a mistrial were quickly shut down, and the trial proceeded.
This after sites like @NoJumper posted video that shows some of the jurors and wrote, "Fans on Social Media Are Already Identifying Jury Members in Young Thug's Trial After Cameras Accidentally Revealed Their Faces."

As a result of the leak, Glanville asked the media to stop recording the proceedings moving forward. They may still capture audio but no video. Though the high-profile trial is still in its very early days, it has already been surrounded by controversy. During day one, Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, slammed Chief Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love, who presented opening statements for the prosecutions. He called her remarks “intentional misconduct” and motioned for a mistrial, which was quickly denied. Steel claimed the prosecution didn’t share specific components of their presentation with the defense prior to trial. The case is expected to play out in the courtroom for several months.
Thug and his legal team have argued that he is not the violent gang leader that he is being painted as. Instead, they have maintained that his name stands for “Truly Humble Under God” and that YSL is simply a music group inspired by Yves Saint Laurent.
