Young Thug’s co-defendant Cordarius Dorsey, a.k.a. YSL Polo, has been convicted of murder.

On Wednesday, Dorsey was found guilty in the 2020 fatal shooting of Xavier Arlandor Turner, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras outside a College Park, Georgia barbershop. Although the suspect’s face was not evident in the footage, Dorsey was identified by witnesses at the scene as wearing similar clothing to the shooter.

According to prosecutors, the defendant sent damning texts to friends after the shooting.  The text read: “Bra, I just killed another n*gga on Old Nat,” another read, “Shawty, I just killed a n*gga at the discount.”

Dorsey, reportedly a Bloods gang member, was already serving a life sentence for another murder recorded on camera.  In 2019, he allegedly shot and killed Sulaiman Jalloh, a 39-year-old father, during an armed robbery at a gas station.

During the six-day trial, jurors were informed about the defendant’s criminal history.  Prosecutors emphasized his “one-man crime spree” involving the 2019 and 2020 murders.  They cited his social media accounts, where he allegedly showcased stolen jewelry and casually discussed taking lives.

“There exist people like Mr. Dorsey who just want to watch the world burn,” prosecutor Gautam Rao said Wednesday. “He has no problem taking the lives of other people.”

The defendant was sentenced to life without parole plus an additional 55 years for the College Park murder. Dorsey’s legal team intends to appeal the conviction, as reported by the AJC.

Earlier this week, Thug’s legal team requested Dorsey’s removal from the RICO trial due to his disruptive courtroom behavior, which they believe could impact Young Thug’s fair trial.
