With the City Girls exploring their separate paths, Yung Miami is stepping into the spotlight with her own sound.
In February 2024, she introduced her “Yams” era. Inspired by Deion Sanders during his football glory days, Yung Miami channeled her inner “Primetime.” While the looks excited fans, the momentum slowed as “Yams” didn’t fully resonate. However, it did lead to a key moment: the release of her solo single, “50/50.”
The track was well-received, with Miami staying true to her roots, delivering sultry lyrics about luxury and wealth that fans love. Along with “Yams” merchandise under her “Caresha Please” brand, including the “Resha Roulette” card game, Miami released another track, “CFWM (Can’t F**k With Me)” featuring Skilla Baby in April 2024.
Around this time, there was talk of a possible mixtape, though no details have been revealed. What we know so far is that the project will likely feature turn-up tunes perfect for the South Florida party scene. A hint of this came from her studio session with Southern hip-hop legend Uncle Luke, who confirmed they had created a new party track titled “Fa Da Booty.”
Recently, Miami previewed another twerk anthem, “Shot ’O Clock.” Fans urged her to release it in full after she played it on Instagram Live. Judging by “50/50,” “CFWM,” “Fa Da Booty,” and “Shot ’O Clock,” it seems Miami has a clear theme for her upcoming mixtape, showcasing her infectious personality.
