“Always A Bridesmaid” is the artistic child of Yvette Nicole Brown.
The actress, who will also be taking part in the live-action “Lady and the Tramp,” is in production of her first independent film. The romantic comedy shows the relationship hardships of Corina James. Corina has lived most of her life as a bridesmaid never to find herself walking down the aisle to her own Prince Charming. Now, she’s finally reached the realization that she needs to figure out what it takes to progress in her personal life. As well as, understand the keys to maintaining a healthy relationship.
Deadline broke down the film’s roster as follows:
Javicia Leslie (God Friended Me) and Jordan Calloway (Riverdale, Black Lightning) star in the film. Brown will play a supporting role along with Marcel Spears (The Neighborhood), Brandon Micheal Hall (God Friended Me), Affion Crockett (The Wedding Ringer), Michelle Mitchenor (Lethal Weapon), Bernard David Jones (The Mayor), Tosin Morohunfola (The Chi), Meagan Tandy (Survivors Remorse), James Bland (Ed Giants) Richard Lawson (For Colored Girls, How Stella Got Her Groove Back), and Telma Hopkins (Family Matters).
Yvette will also be executive producing the project as Trey Haley takes on directing.
