Zendaya has been on everyone’s radar from the moment she was spotted in MIUNIKU Fall 2013 Colorblock Coat during fashion week in 2013. From there, the 24-year-old has not only graced many magazine covers, making history for being the youngest lead drama actress to win an Emmy, and now the face of Valentino.
According to creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Instagram, he stated that they chose the actress to be the face of the brand because she uses her work to express herself.
“The reason why we chose Zendaya as the new face for Valentino is because she perfectly embodies and represents what Valentino is and stands for, today. She is a powerful and fierce young woman that uses her talent and her work to express herself, her values, and her generation as well.”
Zendaya took to her Instagram to express her excitement. “Proud to say I have the honor of being the face of @maisonvalentino such a dream. Thank you and can’t wait for what’s to come @pppiccioli.”
The luxury brand released images of Zendaya, where she looks simply stunning wearing a loose white dress with a pussy-bow and a laced off -the shoulder black dress in the other as she clutches the brand’s Roman stud bags, styled by our favorite, Law Roach.
Zendaya is not new to the fashion or beauty scene as she is the face of the women’s fragrance Idôle by Lancôme as well as extended her role to front the new mascara, Lash Idôle. She has also designed her own collections for Tommy Hilfiger and created her own line, Daya by Zendaya.
