Zendaya is known not only for her acting abilities but also for her impeccable sense of style. As a result, the “Euphoria” star has been recognized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
The 25-year-old is set to become the youngest honoree to receive the CFDA Fashion Icon Award during the ceremony on November 10th. The iconic stylist responsible for some of her most signature styles, Law Roach (@LuxuryLaw), shared the news of Zendaya’s latest accolade on his Instagram.
“And then THIS happened ……. @zendaya @cfda Fashion Icon 2021 #fLAWless,” the fashion expert and “Legendary” judge wrote.
Some of Zendaya’s most signature looks include her white Vivienne Westwood gown at the 2015 Oscars and her layered wine-colored Marchesa gown at the 73rd Annual Golden Globes in 2016. More recently, the Hollywood beauty stunned in the spring-inspired custom yellow Valentino gown during the 2021 Academy Awards in April.
Zendaya’s Fashion Icon win places her among other fashion greats to receive the award, including the one and only Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez, who won the award most recently in 2019.
This year’s CFDA Fashion Awards will be in person after the 2020 ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New York State Health Guidelines will be strictly enforced during the ceremony, taking place at THE POOL + THE GRILL inside Park Avenue’s Seagram Building.
