According to Haddish, she encountered a driver whose body odor was overwhelming, to the point that she described it as “burning her nose.” In response, she claims she questioned the man about what he had been doing to make him smell that way and decided to offer a solution: peroxide and baking soda, a mix often used for cleaning purposes.
“Can I give you a bath?” she asked the man, “I will scrub you, baking soda and peroxide in the water.”
While this is very on-brand for Haddish, her actions have sparked some mixed reactions. Some see it as typical of her comedic and brash style, while others find the gesture culturally insensitive, suggesting a need for a greater understanding of local customs and sensitivities.
@TiffanyHaddish is probably the most vile and ignorant celebrity you’ll ever see. Next time the Country you’re in. Africa is not a Country. Fool! https://t.co/vVFSWFDixY

Nevertheless, Haddish claims she told the driver not to return to work the following day unless he smelled better. Luckily, she claims he improved his odor upon his return, which resulted in her giving him a $50 tip.
It’s not unusual for Haddish to tackle uncomfortable situations with humor and candor, and she’s known for not holding back when recounting her experiences. However, this story has added to conversations about respecting cultural differences when traveling abroad, even as it showcases her no-holds-barred personality.

Hart made it clear that he only spoke out because Williams had criticized Tiffany Haddish in 2018 while promoting Night School on The Breakfast Club, and he felt the need to stand up for her.
“I think there’s probably one moment where I’ve talked about Katt publicly,” Hart said. “Tiffany was affected by some of the things he said. It was more of, like, support for her in that moment and some shots at him.”
When Charlamagne asked Hart if he regretted responding to Williams, Hart admitted he did. “Yeah, I should never address him, at all,” Hart said. “I don’t have to. Like, why? What will it do for me? What will I gain? There’s no gain. I look at everything from a business and economic standpoint. If I’m investing in something, what is my return? … If I can’t answer that question… then it doesn’t get energy.”
Williams had originally slammed Hart during his Club Shay Shay interview, calling him an “industry plant” and a “gatekeeper.” But Hart quickly dismissed those claims, explaining that his journey in comedy is well-documented. He even called it the “biggest compliment ever” during his interview with Charlamagne, saying, “When you hear things like that, you just… You got to give a nod to common sense versus lack thereof.”
Hart continued by sharing a conversation with his daughter, explaining the importance of research. “Everything is researchable if you really want to know it,” he said. “So if you really give a shit, you can go and see. I mean, the industry plant conversation is what? What does that mean?”
In the end, Kevin Hart regrets engaging with Katt’s criticism. He’s learned that dealing with negativity isn’t worth his time and energy.

The creator, who goes by the username Lowameyasu, claims that she attended an event as a plus one with her entertainment journalist friend. While there, she encountered several celebrities, including the one in question. The TikToker, who is Eritrean, explains that the woman sat next to her, and they sparked a conversation about their nationality. The unidentified celeb is also half Eritrean, and the TikToker began giving her props for being able to represent the country while working in Hollywood. The creator then started speaking about the state of Eritrea and how the country’s president, Isaias Afwerki, is harming the region. The entertainer then seemingly defended him by stating, “He invited me to the country, and I had a great time,” before adding that Afwerki was excellent to her, and the two even enjoyed tea together.
The TikToker tried to explain to the entertainer that Afwerki is responsible for the mistreatment of residents and imprisoning journalists for reporting on the unrest. However, the star further stood by the country’s leader, claiming that he “needed slaves to build that country.” After educating her that slaves were not required to rebuild Eritrea after a thirty-year war, the TikToker then asked the entertainer her views on George Washington, who was a documented enslaver in America. The woman replied that the U.S. president also required enslaved people for labor. This prompted the TikToker to end the conversation altogether.

Social media quickly pointed out that Haddish’s father, Tsihaye Reda Haddish, was born in Eritrea. She began connecting with her father’s roots after he passed away in 2018. That same year, she was photographed with Afwerki during her first visit to the country. From there, she made several other visits to the area.
Comedian/actress @TiffanyHaddish with #Eritrea president. Eritrean leaders don't own a private jet, a limousine or a mansion. Rather they live in a small houses as an ordinary citizen. Obviously Tiffany Haddish. She’s also a genocide denier who has suggested that the people dying and starving in Tigray are actors (over half a million Tigrayans have died, mainly as a result of the man-made famine, in just two years). Fuck her for life. https://t.co/xxd1I9VLRg

The “Isn’t She Lovely” star arrived in the country on Monday, where he received the Certificate of Citizenship by Registration at Jubilee House in Accra. Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo presented the 25-time Grammy Award winner with the documents.
Typically, Ghanaian nationality is granted to people born to parents in the country or those who are permanent residents of Ghana and have lived there for a designated time. In 1994, Wonder hinted at relocating to the country due to what he deemed to be better conditions. Years later, in 2021, he once again shared these sentiments in an interview with Oprah. Wonder stated that he would be moving to Ghana permanently due to the racial tension in the U.S. Now, it appears Wonder is making his dreams of living abroad a reality.
In videos of his arrival to the country, Wonder can be seen being greeted by drum players. He even joined in on the celebration and began to play the drums. One of Wonder’s plans is reportedly to improve music programs in the country.

Wonder is certainly not the only superstar to seek citizenship in other parts of the world. Several celebrities have made this move for various reasons. Here are four others who have received citizenship outside of the U.S.
Tiffany Haddish
In 2019, the “Girl’s Trip” actress received citizenship in Eritrea in Africa. This is the country where her father, Tsihaye Reda Haddish, was born.
Tina Turner
In 2013, after living in Switzerland for 20 years, Tina Turner became a Swiss citizen. In this process, she gave up her U.S. citizenship. During a 1997 interview with Larry King, she admitted that Europe had been much more welcoming of her than America.
Ludacris
Rapper Ludacris became a citizen of Gabon at the top of 2020. His wife, Eudoxie, was born in the country. His mother, Roberta Shields, and two daughters, Cai and Cadence, also obtained citizenship in Gabon.
Samuel L. Jackson
Actor Samuel L. Jackson also became a citizen of Gabon. This move was motivated by genealogy and DNA testing, which traced his roots back to Gabon’s Benga tribe.

Haddish recently spoke with People magazine at the 3rd Annual Friendly House Comedy Fundraiser on Sunday, reflecting on the lessons she’s discovered about herself since embracing sobriety.
“I’ve learned that I’ve been too damn nice. I’ve been way too nice over the years,” Haddish said. “I think people think… Because when you drink, there’s no filter. But when I drank, there was a filter, okay? Because I would think really mean things, and want to say really mean things, but I just told myself not to say them. Now I say the sh*t.”
She continued, “Now I say it. If I think it, I say it. That filter is gone.,’ ‘Oh, don’t say nothing because you got alcohol in you and you might say something mean.’ Now I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m sober, and this is what I really feel, so I’m going to say it.’ Because it needs to be said.”
In March, Haddish disclosed that she had been sober for over two months. Additionally, in January 2022, she was arrested on suspicion of DUI and detained in Georgia. Nevertheless, Haddish says that maintaining sobriety “wasn’t hard” for her because it wasn’t a habitual activity. In fact, Haddish added that staying away from meat was more challenging.
“I love meat. I’m addicted to that,” the comedian added. “I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to stop eating meat.’ Because I noticed, I went for like 30 days not eating any meat, and the endometriosis wasn’t hurting as bad. It was way easier, let’s blood clots, less this, less that. But not smoking weed, not drinking alcohol, has been very easy for me. I never really had a lot of vices, and every time I was partaking in those vices, it was around the time of me not being pregnant. So, hey.”
Haddish’s newfound realization follows her appearance onstage at The Laugh Factory last December, where she referred to her arrest in Beverly Hills as “beautiful” and praised the city’s jail facilities as “nice.” This stand-up routine occurred one month after Haddish’s arrest for driving under the influence in Los Angeles.

The twist began when Lil Rod reached out for DJ Akademiks’ number, and not even half an hour later, someone claiming to be Christian Combs’ bodyguard hit Ak up with a track, alleging it featured Christian Combs spitting bars over a Cassie song.
Talk about a plot twist, right? But it was this bizarre phone call that sent DJ Akademiks down a rabbit hole, leading to the spotlight being thrown on lawyer Tyrone Blackburn, known for his salacious lawsuits against celebs.
Akademiks didn’t hold back, shedding light on Blackburn’s history of suing high-profile names like Diddy, Nicki Minaj, and TI & Tiny. According to Akademiks, Blackburn’s MO seems less about justice and more about what looks like a shakedown, aiming to squeeze out settlements from these stars.
Let’s break it down:
DJ Akademiks’ dive into these cases exposes a pattern that’s hard to ignore, raising questions about the intentions behind Blackburn’s legal battles. Is it a quest for justice or a strategic play for settlements? While Akademiks’ insights offer a compelling look into these allegations, it’s clear this saga is far from over, leaving us all watching closely to see how it unfolds.

“I haven’t drank any alcohol, smoked any weed or anything in, like, 72 days,” Haddish said. “It’s not hard. It’s not that hard for me, ’cause it wasn’t really, like, my main thing anyways.”
Haddish also mentioned her struggle with maintaining a healthy diet, particularly with regards to consuming adequate amounts of meat and candy. When questioned about her decision to abstain from alcohol and weed, she said that it came after she decided to commit to obeying the law.
“It’s court-mandated,” she added, while highlighting that the weed helps manage her endometriosis pain.
Haddish’s latest run-in with the law occurred in the early hours of November 24, 2023, when she was reportedly found asleep at the wheel of her Tesla in Beverly Hills, California, resulting in a DUI charge. She was released from custody on the same day as her arrest.
Subsequently, the charge was downgraded to a violation, and Haddish entered a plea of no contest in February. Reflecting on the incident during her podcast appearance, Haddish attributed her behavior to driving while exhausted and acknowledged that stress had taken a toll on her health, preventing her from vigorously contesting the charges. This incident marked her second encounter with DUI-related issues, following a previous arrest in January 2022 by Peachtree City police officers in Georgia.
