Supreme has never been shy about blurring the line between fashion and absurdity, but its latest release may be its most audacious flex yet — actual gold bars.
The New York streetwear institution is set to drop two collectible gold bars on May 14 in partnership with PAMP Suisse, one of Switzerland’s most respected precious metals refiners. The 1 oz bar carries an extremely limited mintage of just 100 pieces worldwide, while the 1 gram version is capped at 1,000 bars — both sealed in tamper-evident assay packaging that certifies weight, mintage, and gold purity. Each piece is stamped with molded Supreme and PAMP Suisse logos, making them instantly recognizable as collector’s items rather than standard bullion.
With the current spot price of gold sitting at approximately $4,724.20 per ounce as of early May 2026, collectors and investors can likely expect both bars to command a significant premium beyond their melt value — especially given the brand cachet attached to them. Pricing and exact quantities have yet to be officially confirmed by Supreme.
This isn’t the first time Supreme has nodded to gold bar iconography. Back in its Spring/Summer 2019 collection, the brand released a Gold Bars Tee featuring a gold bar logo on the chest — a graphic-driven wink at wealth culture that foreshadowed where things were headed. Now, seven years later, the brand has made good on the joke.
The gold bars are part of Supreme’s characteristically chaotic Spring/Summer 2026 accessories run, which has also included a full-size boxing ring with Everlast, a leopard faux fur-lined casket, and an ATM. At this point, the gold bars might actually be the most practical thing on the list.
The drop goes live Thursday, May 14, at 11 AM EST, with Asia releases following on Saturday, May 16.
