WarnerMedia has officially launched an investigation following Ray Fisher’s claims about misconduct on the set of “Justice League.” Fisher portrays Cyborg in the DC Extended Universe.
Fisher shared news of the investigation via Twitter.
“After 5 weeks of interviews with various cast/crew, @WarnerMedia has officially launched an independent third-party investigation to get to the heart of the toxic and abusive work environment created during Justice League reshoots. This is a MASSIVE step forward!” He followed up with another tweet saying, “I believe this investigation will show that Geoff Johns, Joss Whedon, Jon Berg (and others) grossly abused their power during the uncertainty of AT&T’s merger with Time Warner,” he alleged. “Thank you @WarnerMedia and @ATT for making strides to ensure a safer workplace for all!”
The investigation will include claims of abuse at the hands of Joss Whedon and producers Jon Berg and Geoff Johns. However, Variety reports that the investigation in question will not only focus on those three nor will it be conducted in a public manner.
Berg has denied the abuse allegations. In a statement to Variety, he downplayed Fisher’s claims.
“I remember [Fisher] being upset that we wanted him to say ‘Booyaa,’ which is a well-known saying of Cyborg in the animated series.”
Early in July, Fisher had broken his silence on Twitter about the mistreatment that he had received.
“Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment.”
