A massive rush for concert tickets hit Ticketmaster this week after Ye announced a rare Los Angeles performance. Demand surged almost instantly when artist presale tickets opened Tuesday, with more than one million people reportedly waiting in the online queue at one point to secure seats. The show is scheduled for April 3 at SoFi Stadium and will mark Ye’s first major concert in Los Angeles in several years.
General ticket sales are expected to begin on Wednesday through Ticketmaster. Fans also have another chance to attend through a promotional giveaway tied to Ye’s upcoming album Bully. According to the announcement, artists who register on Yelosangeles.com and pre-save the album will be entered into a drawing for the possibility of receiving free tickets to the event.
The upcoming show carries extra attention because Ye has remained in headlines for several reasons outside of music over the past few years. In January, he took out a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal apologizing for antisemitic and racist comments he had previously made. His first performances after that apology happened in Mexico City earlier this year, where reactions from fans and observers were mixed.
Still, the overwhelming demand for the Los Angeles concert suggests Ye’s core audience remains eager to see him perform live. His last major concert appearance in the United States took place in March 2024 when he and Ty Dolla Sign headlined the opening night of Rolling Loud California in Inglewood. That appearance marked one of his most recent large-scale performances before this newly announced stadium show.
