Ye’s European tour plans hit another setback after officials in Poland pulled the plug on his scheduled summer performance, citing concerns tied to his past antisemitic remarks and repeated controversies.
The rapper, who also goes by Ye, was set to perform June 19 at Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. On Friday, stadium director Adam Strzyzewski announced the event would no longer move forward. “We would like to inform you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert planned for 19 June 2026 at the… Slaski stadium will not take place due to formal and legal reasons,” he said in a statement shared on Facebook, according to Reuters.
Polish Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska strongly supported the decision one day earlier, calling the planned concert unacceptable.
“We are talking about an artist who has publicly expressed antisemitic views, downplayed crimes, and profited from selling swastika T-shirts. These are not ‘controversies.’ This is a deliberate crossing of boundaries and the normalization of hatred,” she wrote.
She added, “In a country scarred by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend that this is just entertainment. Artistic freedom does not mean giving a free pass to everything. Culture cannot be a space for those who exploit it to spread hatred.”
The canceled Poland date follows another recent disruption overseas. West announced that his June 11 concert in Marseille, France, had been postponed “until further notice.”
“After much thought and consideration, it is my sole decision to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice,” he wrote, later adding, “I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends.”
Despite the cancellations, West still has multiple international performances listed for later this year, including stops in India, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
