Brandy will play the Cinderella role again in the upcoming Disney+ film “The Pocketwatch.”
The new film will be a musical in the universe of the popular “The Descendants” franchise.
Kyle Cantrall will play Red, the rebellious teenage daughter of the Queen of Hearts, opposite Chloe, the cheerful but naive daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming. During the film, Red and Chloe work together to travel back in time using a magical pocket watch made by the Mad Hatter’s son to prevent a situation from happening that could have dire consequences for the entire kingdom.
In addition to Brandy and Cantrall being announced as cast members, the star-studded cast will include Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts; China Anne McClain as Uma, daughter of the sea witch Ursula; Dara Reneé as Ursula’s sister Ulyana; Ruby Rose Turner Bridget, the younger version of the Queen of Hearts; Morgan Dudley as Ella, the younger version of Cinderella; Joshua Colley as Ulyana’s sycophant Hook; and Melanie Paxson as the Fairy Godmother.
