Loyalty (in some form) can get you a serious bag in your relationship if you have Kanye West type of money. When Mrs. Kardashian- West turned down a $1 million offer from an apparel competitor, Kanye leveled up and gave her a better offer -a $1 Million check and a Yeezy ownership contract.
Kim Kardashian spoke with Ashley Graham on her new podcast “Pretty Big Deal” and she explained the story behind the business move with her husband.
“A brand offered me a million dollars to do a post on, you know, some of their clothing. And they typically, I don’t want to say who the brand is, but they typically knock off Yeezy.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although thinking about accepting the offer based on the payout, Kim decided to instead, consult with her husband first. “He was like, ‘No, babe, I really don’t want you to do that.’”
Then for Mother’s Day, upon receiving a bouquet of flowers, she received a little extra attached. ”I open the envelope and it’s a million-dollar check and it was a note saying, ‘Thank you for always supporting me and not posting,’” she recalled. “And then, in the rest of the envelope, it was a contract to be an owner of Yeezy and my percentage.” Kim called Kanye the “best husband” after the gift.
Not much to say about Kanye these days but he definitely seems pretty good at gift giving!
