14-Year-Old Queens Girl Killed After Teen Driver Crashed BMW At High Rate Of Speed [Video]

A 14-year-old Queens girl was tragically killed when she was ejected from a BMW that crashed into a parked UPS truck at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the car was also a minor at only 16 years old and was not a licensed driver. The teen only possessed a Learner’s Permit, and the New York Police Department is investigating why the boy was behind the wheel with another minor in the car.

The victim, identified as Fortune Williams, was a passenger in the red BMW as it traveled at a high rate of speed through the Springfield Gardens section of Queens at about 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday. The driver reportedly lost control of the car and crashed into a UPS truck parked on the curb. 

The force of the crash caused the UPS truck to jump the curb and knock the delivery driver to the ground. 

The New York Post reports that the car spun across the road and crashed into a tractor-trailer. A video of the wreck was posted to the Citizens app.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to Cohen Children’s Hospital in stable condition. It’s unclear if he will face any charges. The UPS driver was also taken to the hospital in stable condition. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.

“As a mother, a mother don’t want to go through this. I found her bracelet. I can’t sleep,” Keisha Francis, Williams’ mother, told ABC7. “I come to get her. I come to get my daughter.”

Francis described Williams as a loving and caring girl. A GoFundMe says she was “well mannered, hard-working, very caring towards her siblings,” and dreamed of working in the medical field.
