Rolling Stone Magazine has confirmed that 18 companies have severed ties with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ platform, Empower Global, following the several sexual assault allegations against him.

In 2021, he launched Empower Global, a digital marketplace that sells products from Black-owned businesses worldwide.

The platform is said to “elevate the Black economy by creating opportunities for Black entrepreneurs to build and scale successful businesses” for consumers.

According to House of Takura founder Annette Njau, she ended her association with Empower Global after discovering the lawsuit filed by R&B singer Cassie (Casandra Ventura) against Combs.

“We take the allegations against Mr. Combs very seriously and find such behavior abhorrent and intolerable,” Njau told the magazine. “We believe in victims’ rights, and support victims in speaking their truth, even against the most powerful of people.”

“Fulaba is all about empowering women and girls,” Fulaba founder Haby Barry said. “We will not associate with anything or anyone that is counter to our values.”

While some businesses are staying with Combs’ e-commerce marketplace due to past investments and faith in the former CEO Khadijah Robinson’s vision, others are leaving, citing allegations against Combs and subpar performance, as reported by Rolling Stone.

The news comes as a fourth lawsuit has been filed against the music mogul within the past week.
