19-year-old black man Carterris Doty was shot multiple times by police in Dolton, Illinois yesterday.
Social media reports claim the young man was listed in critical condition and is currently undergoing surgery. Family members claim Doty was unarmed and they are demanding answers from police brass in Dolton. A video of the shooting is circulating on social media.
Chicago’s Legal Help Firm is investigating on behalf of the Doty family. Illinois State Police is also investigating Dolton Police’s use of force in this incident.
