With the rise of COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant, the Grammys has been pushed back for the second time.
On Wednesday, the Recording Academy and CBS announced that the ceremony would be pushed back from its original day on January 31. A new date for the show has yet to be announced.
The ceremony has been rescheduled due to “the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant,” of the coronavirus.
Last year’s Grammys were also postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.
Trever Noah was recently announced as the host for the 2022 Grammys, which will mark his second consecutive year hosting the ceremony.
The show had been set to take place at the crypto.com Arena (formally known as the Staples Center) in LA, with a live broadcast on CBS.
The Recording Academy announced its list of 2022 Grammy nominations last November. Doja Cat, HER, and Justin Bieber all received eight nominations, and Jon Baptise leads with 11 nominations.
