Will Smith Shows Up for Jaden as His First Full Louboutin Collection Lands

As his 27 year old son ushers in a new era for the French house, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith keep doing the one thing the internet still cannot seem to process. Showing up.

Say what you want about the Smiths, but they show up for their kids. As Jaden Smith rolls out his first full collection as the men’s creative director of Christian Louboutin, his parents have been right there beside him, red soles and all.

Jaden, 27, made history last year when he was named the first men’s creative director in the French house’s history, the first time anyone other than Christian Louboutin himself has steered the men’s division. On June 3, the maison launched his debut Fall and Winter 2026 collection worldwide, built around a cinematic campaign shot inside a 17th century French château in the countryside. Jaden described the imagery as a blend of aristocratic grandeur and youthful energy, a multigenerational vision of the Louboutin man rooted in individuality rather than uniformity. The footwear got a full reinvention too, led by the Molten Trapman, a rubber soled boot engineered to look as if it is dripping in glossy red paint.

Through all of it, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have made a point of being seen. When Jaden first presented in Paris in January, both parents touched down and sat front row in coordinating head to toe black, the only pop of color the signature Louboutin red on the bottom of their shoes, a look more than a few people read as Men in Black method dressing. Around the June launch, the two turned out again, this time for a Louboutin event and a private dinner in support of their son. For a couple whose marriage has been picked apart endlessly since Jada’s 2023 revelations about their years of living separately, the recurring image of them standing together behind Jaden keeps quietly rewriting the narrative people thought they knew.

Not that the collection itself has been an easy sell. Jaden’s appointment and his debut have drawn heavy criticism, with a loud corner of the fashion internet branding him a nepo baby handed a dream job on the strength of his last name rather than any design résumé. His January debut got roasted, with critics calling the pieces costume like and questioning whether notoriety, not craft, earned him the role. Jaden has answered the noise by leaning all the way into the work, painting his own face and body Louboutin red for the campaign and talking openly about wanting to learn directly from Christian Louboutin and carry the house’s legacy of handmade leather craftsmanship forward.

The rollout is far from over. Jaden is set to appear at a string of exclusive events across New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Paris, and London throughout June, giving the fashion world plenty more chances to make up its mind in person. Whatever the reviews end up saying about the shoes, the Smiths have already made their own position perfectly clear. They are standing on business, and they are standing with their son.
