Kevin Gates has been ordered to give his estranged wife, Dreka Gates, more than $1 million from the sale of his music catalog, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Under the order, Dreka will receive $929,341.50 for child and spousal support, plus another $150,000 paid directly to her, bringing her total to about $1.08 million.
The order also controls how the rest of the money is handled. All of the proceeds from the catalog sale must be deposited into a Morgan Stanley account managed by Robert Bracy, the chief financial officer of Kevin’s record label, with certified public accountant William Duerksen added as an authorized individual on the account.
Kevin will receive $538,798 upfront, followed by $225,000 a month starting in October.
Several other payments are coming out of the sale as well. Dreka’s attorneys will receive $125,000 for legal fees, her accountant will be paid $100,000, and $103,000 will go to a third party mediation service.
The documents do not say who bought Kevin’s catalog or how much it sold for.
The order is the latest development in a split that has played out in court filings and on social media for more than a year. Dreka filed for divorce in July 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. Last October, she asked the court for $73,000 a month in support, including $27,193 in child support and $46,274 in spousal support, and claimed Kevin stopped supporting her and their two children financially in 2021.
Kevin has pushed back publicly. In a January Instagram video, he claimed their union was a sacred marriage that was never legally binding, denied being a “deadbeat” father, and said the two had been apart since 2020. He has also accused Dreka of stealing from him during their relationship, a claim her attorney called “completely false and fabricated.”
Kevin and Dreka share two children, Islah and Khaza.
