When will people learn that jokes about bomb and terroristic threats at the airport are never okay and WILL get you arrested? As if a 14 year old girl making a threat to American Airlines on Twitter then getting arrested wasn’t enough, 24 year old San Francisco 49ers star, Aldon Smith, was arrested Sunday for making a false bomb threat at LAX. Let’s chalk this one up as Dumb Baller News.

A statement released by Sgt. Karla Ortiz of the LAPD says Smith was selected for secondary screening at the airport. The statement says Smith then became “belligerent and uncooperative with the process and with the TSA agent, making a comment indicating that he was in possession of a bomb before proceeding towards the gate area.
Once LAPD officers arrived on the scene, Smith continued to be “uncooperative” and was detained.
Smith has since been released. He can face up to one year if convicted.
