They want to be oppressed so bad, and now the EEOC is giving them a whole PSA.

Andrea Lucas, Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, posted a video on X directly addressing white male workers who believe they have been discriminated against at work because of their race or sex. In the clip, Lucas tells viewers they may have a claim under federal civil rights laws and could be eligible to recover money if they act quickly. She stresses that filing deadlines are strict and encourages anyone who believes they were treated unfairly to contact the EEOC as soon as possible.

Lucas explains that the EEOC is the federal agency responsible for enforcing anti-discrimination laws against private employers. According to her message, that responsibility includes identifying and eliminating all forms of race and sex discrimination, including cases involving white male applicants and employees. She also directs viewers to EEOC.gov, where the agency has posted a one-page explainer about discrimination claims related to diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.

The video didn’t take long to spark reactions online. Some viewers interpreted the PSA as the government validating long-running complaints from white men who feel DEI initiatives have sidelined them in hiring, promotions, or workplace opportunities. Others saw it as a necessary legal clarification, pointing out that civil rights laws were written to apply broadly, regardless of race or gender, even if certain groups have historically benefited from workplace systems.
