Hip-hop pioneer Russell Simmons sat down for a candid interview on Podcast and Chill with Mac G, where he directly addressed why his name appears in the infamous Jeffrey Epstein documents.

During the conversation, Simmons pushed back against claims of any scandalous involvement, explained how everyday communications landed him in the files, and shared his thoughts on Bill Clinton and Michael Jackson.

The discussion grew tense when the topic of the Epstein files was raised, prompting Simmons to explain the completely ordinary context behind the mentions. “My name is in the Epstein files because a Ugandan model wanted to give me her bible. And I know a Ugandan model, Alice something, Miss Uganda. She wanted to give me her bible. I don’t know how that ended up in the files but it was somebody wrote somebody she’s looking to get Russell Simmons her bible.

He added that the only other mention involved another public figure, stating, “And the second thing is Deepak Chopra asked Jeffrey Epstein did he want to go to my house when Deepak was being honored for my art foundation. That’s fucking it. I never met the guy.”

Simmons made it clear that being included in millions of pages of compiled communications does not equal wrongdoing, pointing out how common it is for famous figures to be mentioned randomly.

SpongeBob is in the Epstein files. No, I’m serious. SpongeBob is in the files multiple times more than me. These are just words that came out and names. Like I’m famous. Every famous person is in there somehow.” He quickly shut down any insinuation that he attended Epstein’s parties, asking, “Why would you even say that? No clickbait shit.”

The conversation then shifted to other high profile figures whose names have been tied to the files, including Bill Clinton and Michael Jackson. When discussing Jackson, Simmons recalled meeting him four or five times, remembering him as a “sweet lovely man who I don’t believe could cause harm to anyone.” He expressed disbelief that Jackson could possess that level of cruelty.

In contrast, Simmons shared a different perspective on former President Bill Clinton, recalling how Clinton would behave when women were present.

“I know Bill. I don’t know if he’s a sweet and lovely man. Every girl I have been around him with, every time I was around with a girl, go to bathroom, he be… I come back he tell about size of his shoe. I mean shit like that.”

“Don’t bring that sh*t up.”

Russell Simmons explains why his name is inside the Epstein files as he speaks on Bill Clinton being tied to Jeffrey Epstein and says he doesn’t believe Michael Jackson could cause harm to anyone.
