Iyanla Vanzant believes Blueface and Chrisean Rock have little motivation to change their behavior because their public relationship drama continues to attract attention and financial opportunities.

During an interview on The Jason Lee Show, the television personality and spiritual teacher revealed that she receives at least five emails every week from people asking her to intervene in the couple’s troubled relationship.Despite the repeated requests, Vanzant questioned whether either of them genuinely wants help, arguing that their controversial behavior has become financially rewarding.
“She makes a lot more money than I do dishonoring herself, disrespecting herself as a woman,” she said, referring to Rock.
Vanzant suggested that the attention surrounding Blueface and Chrisean Rock has created an environment where their personal conflicts can become opportunities for publicity and income. In her view, there is little incentive to break unhealthy patterns when those same patterns continue to generate money.
She also challenged the public’s role in keeping the cycle going.
According to Vanzant, if people stopped watching and engaging with their personal drama, the two would eventually “get it together or get clear or go away.”
Her comments place some responsibility on the audience consuming the content, rather than focusing exclusively on the couple’s decisions. Every viral argument, public disagreement, and reconciliation can attract more viewers, extending the attention surrounding their relationship.
The timing of Vanzant’s remarks is particularly interesting because Blueface and Rock have recently taken another major step in their relationship.
Blueface proposed to Rock during a nightclub appearance in Scottsdale, Arizona, on October 12, 2026. Footage captured the rapper asking Rock to marry him before she accepted.
The proposal followed another reconciliation between the two, whose relationship has been documented through social media, livestreams, and reality television.
Their public history has also raised questions about where genuine relationship struggles end, and entertainment begins. During an August 2026 interview with Jason Lee, Rock described how spending time with Blueface could change once cameras began rolling.
For Vanzant, the issue goes beyond whether Blueface and Rock could benefit from relationship guidance. She believes meaningful change requires personal willingness, something public pressure and unsolicited offers of help cannot provide.
Her comments also challenge viewers who express concern about the couple while continuing to support the very content they find troubling.
