She called it one of, if not the, scariest experience of her life, made harder by the fact that her husband Jonathan Owens was in Indianapolis for practices when it happened. Owens is an NFL safety who signed with the Colts this offseason, which meant Biles was facing the worst of it without him at home.
She has been resting in bed all week, she said, and promised to explain what happened sooner or later. Then she thanked the close circle who reached out, checked in, came by, or sent flowers, and signed off with love for everyone watching.
