Bhad Bhabie is setting the record straight after her boyfriend Le Vaughn was handcuffed following a serious car accident in Los Angeles, and her explanation came with an unexpected relationship update. The rapper revealed that the two are now engaged while addressing rumors about the crash, his arrest, and her viral confrontation with streamers at the scene.
In a lengthy statement shared on X on Monday, October 12, the 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, pushed back against reports and online speculation suggesting she was involved in the accident. She also offered her explanation for why police took Le Vaughn into custody.
STOP WITH THE FAKE NEWS,” Bhad Bhabie began. “My fiancé was in a car accident and ended up getting arrested because he hit his head and was slurring his speech, and they thought that he was under the influence.”
According to Bhad Bhabie, Le Vaughn suffered a head injury during the collision that affected his ability to speak clearly. She claims officers interpreted his slurred speech as a possible sign of intoxication, resulting in his arrest.
Her explanation offers new context surrounding the footage, which shows Le Vaughn undergoing a field sobriety test before officers placed him in handcuffs. However, police have not publicly confirmed that a head injury caused his speech difficulties or identified the official grounds for his detention.
The incident first made headlines after TMZ reported that Le Vaughn was driving a Maybach early Monday morning when he collided with a pickup truck near Laurel Canyon Drive and Kirkwood Drive in Hollywood.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with TMZ, the collision left the luxury vehicle totaled and missing a tire. Although everyone reportedly appeared to be okay, police responded and began investigating the wreck.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to TMZ that officers received a report of a two-vehicle collision at approximately 5:16 a.m.
Video obtained by the outlet shows Le Vaughn performing a field sobriety test before being handcuffed and escorted into the back of a police vehicle. Bhad Bhabie was also captured approaching him and giving him a kiss while he stood handcuffed beside a patrol car.
Beyond addressing his arrest, Bhad Bhabie made it clear that she was not riding with Le Vaughn when the accident occurred.
“I was not in the car during the accident; I pulled up to the scene after it happened,” she wrote.
She explained that she was asleep when someone close to her alerted her to what had happened.
According to her statement, her godmother woke her around 5:30 a.m. and told her that Le Vaughn had been involved in a serious accident. Bhad Bhabie said she immediately headed to the location after receiving the alarming news.
She also addressed the heated confrontation that quickly went viral after videos showed her arguing with streamers who were recording the aftermath.
Bhad Bhabie claims the streamers initially approached the crash without realizing anyone famous was involved. According to her, their behavior changed after she stepped out of her vehicle and approached Le Vaughn.
She alleged that the streamers began deliberately provoking her once they recognized her, turning an already stressful situation into a heated exchange for their viewers.
“I gave them the show they were looking for,” she admitted.
As previously reported, streamer Lordhito was among those involved in the confrontation. Footage showed him using Bhad Bhabie’s famous “Cash me outside” catchphrase while recording her at the scene.
The rapper responded angrily and questioned why the streamer was spending his early morning filming car accidents. The exchange escalated into insults about money and celebrity status, with Bhad Bhabie boasting about her earning potential while the streamer called her poor.
The statement confirms that Bhad Bhabie now identifies Le Vaughn as her fiancé, marking a new chapter in a relationship that has experienced several highly publicized breakups and reconciliations.
The two share a daughter, Kali Love, whom they welcomed in March 2024.
Their relationship has frequently attracted attention because of their public disagreements, allegations of domestic violence, and previous announcements that they were no longer together.
In February 2025, Bhabie had declared herself single and insisted she would not reunite with Le Vaughn. Their relationship has continued to make headlines since then.
Now, her latest statement suggests the couple has moved beyond simply reconciling and is preparing for a wedding.
