A 9-year-old boy has been left in a medically induced coma after being seriously injured at Astroworld Festival.

Ezra Blount attended the festival with his father and was on his father’s shoulders when concertgoers began to rush forward. The boy’s father passed out during the surge, causing Ezra to fall. Once the dad regain consciousness, Ezra was not around– he was later found at a Houston hospital in a medically induced coma, suffering from major organ damage and severe brain swelling.

Now, the family is suing Travis Scott, Scoremore Mgmt, Live Nation Entertainment, Cactus Jack Records, and others. According to the lawsuit filed by civil rights attorney Ben Crump, Ezra was “trampled and catastrophically injured” at the show. It also states the child “sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently being hospitalized in a medically induced coma on life support in an attempt to combat his brain, liver, and kidney trauma.”

The suit alleges the defendants failed in their duty to protect the health, safety and lives of attendees. It also alleges negligence in crowd control, failure to provide proper medical attention, hiring, training, supervision, and retention. The family is seeking general damages as well as exemplary damages.

This marks one of several lawsuits filed against Travis Scott and Live Nation following the tragic Astrowold event.
