Miami police have released audio of two 911 calls connected to the April incident report that mentioned San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
According to the released recordings, one caller identified himself as hotel security and said a woman in a guest’s room was refusing to leave. A second caller asked police to come to the room because a young woman was in his friend’s bed and would not leave until she saw him. Police have not identified either caller, and neither caller named Kaepernick.
Last month, an unidentified woman went to Miami police headquarters and told officers she had been out with Kaepernick and two other NFL players. Police described the matter as a suspicious incident and said it was not a criminal investigation. No charges have been filed, and police have not accused Kaepernick of wrongdoing.
49ers coach Jim Harbaugh publicly defended Kaepernick, saying only one side of the story had been reported. Kaepernick has also defended himself publicly.
We will update this story if police share anything new.
