Kai Cenat’s legal team has demanded that his former friend and streaming partner Reggie Travers delete every video accusing the streamer of grooming Rakai, a 17 year old member of the Clover Boys streaming group.
The demand comes in a cease and desist letter dated October 2, which TMZ obtained. Kai’s lawyers call the suggestion that he ever engaged in pedophilia or traded sex for a platform “categorically false.” The letter says Reggie has offered no proof for anything he has said online and that his claims have done Kai real harm.
The letter also goes beyond the allegations themselves. Kai’s team accuses Reggie of threatening to harm Kai and people connected to him, and says his conduct has left employees afraid for their safety and disrupted business. On top of stopping the statements, the letter demands Reggie take down every video that contains them.
Reggie says things have now moved past a letter. On Friday, he shared what he says are court documents Kai filed against him, papers that appear to be a petition for a temporary restraining order. That is a short term court order that can bar someone from contacting or approaching another person while a judge reviews the case. Reggie said he is ready to fight it in court. Those documents have not been independently confirmed, and Kai has not publicly commented on them.
The feud blew up in late September. During an Instagram Live, Reggie accused Kai Cenat of grooming Rakai, whose real name is QuVonn Linder, and of encouraging inappropriate behavior in exchange for fame and clout. Reggie, who recently left the Clover Boys saying he felt sidelined, also claimed Kai had been paying him a $175,000 monthly allowance that he called hush money. Reggie has not made public any evidence backing those claims.
Kai fired back on stream at the start of October. He told Reggie to call the cops and show them evidence, and said he planned to go to police himself and sue.
Rakai, who took part in Kai Cenat’s Streamer University, has also denied Reggie’s claims.
