Kirby Evans, a cancer survivor, went to grab a bite to eat at Forks Pit Stop in Walterboro, South Carolina when the owner “grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him into her office.”

The restaurant owner told the survivor, “IF HE WAS GOING TO EAT IN HERE HE WOULD HAVE TO COVER HIS FACE!!,” Kirby’s daughter, Brandy Evans, wrote on Facebook.

Evans, lost his left eye and nose during his battle with cancer. Now, a place where he was once a regular, has left him feeling like an outcast after the discriminating request. “It hurt deep inside. I’ve never been treated like that, never,” he told CBS News.

His daughter, Brandy Evans, continued on Facebook, “Just so you know… my father can not cover his face with an eye patch. it rubs the eye socket raw and where his nose was, it has to stay open,” she explained to the owner.

The store owner, Donna Crosby, responded to her Facebook message, “I in no part tried to hurt your father… I had no choice! It was running my customers off.”

Was the owner wrong or justified in her decsion?
