“Black Panther, Cardi B, Stan Lee, Rick Ross and more are 2018’s most-Googled searches.

It’s been an eventful year, ”Black Panther” broke several records becoming a blockbuster sensation, Bill Cosby was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of sexual assault, and we lost the Marvel writer, editor, and publisher Stan Lee. But that’s not all, with nearly three weeks left in the year Google has released its list of most trendy Google searches, and you may or may not be shocked by what made the list.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

#RyanCoogler’s ”Black Panther” was the only film or TV show to make the top 10 trending overall searches on Google this year (both in the U.S. and worldwide), Variety reports. While they weren’t in the overall top 10, movies like “Incredibles 2,” 20th Century Fox’s “Deadpool 2” and Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War” made the cut for most trendy movie searches. Some of the top trending actors were YouTuber Logan Paul, Bill Cosby, Roseanne Barr, Michael B Jordan, and SNL’s Pete Davidson.

As for the most Googled people, Demi Lovato, Meghan Markle, Brett Kavanaugh, Logan Paul, Khloe Kardashian, Eminem, Urban Meyer, Ariana Grande, Rick Ross, and Cardi B were ranked the top 10 most searched. Overall searches included the World Cup, Hurricane Florence, Mac Miller, Kate Spade, Anthony Bourdain, Black Panther, Mega Millions Results, Stan Lee, Demi Lovato, and the Election Results.

Google creates its list by using algorithms to analyze trillions of searches which filter out repeat queries and compares percentage increases in searches for specific terms over the course of the year, Variety reports.
