As Dwyane Wade continues his Wade World Tour for #OneLastDance, he’s also gearing up to let us in on his 16-season-long journey.
Deadline exclusively reported Bob Metelus is leading the Imagine Documentaries project to tell the story of the Miami Heat point guard. Metelus has worked for Wade for many years as his “behind-the-scenes cinematographer.” He’s captured various never-before-seen elements in the player’s life both professional and personal. The yet-to-be-titled film will go through his humble beginnings from a fifth overall draft in 2003 to marrying Gabrielle Union and playing in his upcoming last All-Star game. Wade’s 59th & Prairie production company will also play a role in the creation process.
Bob gushed, “I’m excited to share his inspirational story with the world and show an intimate, behind the scenes look at the life of a three-time NBA Champion, father, husband, businessman, philanthropist, style icon, and someone I’m lucky enough to call a close friend.”
Details on the film’s release are to be announced.
