On Wednesday, Wiz Khalifa announced that he will be releasing a biographical docuseries entitled, “Behind the Cam,” next week on the Apple Music streaming platform.
“Behind the Cam,” closely follows the rapper’s rise to fame and will feature intimate interviews from his family and friends, as well as unreleased personal footage.
The official trailer showcases his humble beginnings in the industry and reflects how Khalifa exhibited confidence from the start of his career, performing for smaller crowds as a teen and perfecting his craft.
Executive Producer of the project, Michael Strahan shared his excitement to team up with Khalifa. “Wiz and I both share a passion for family, friendship and hard work, and that’s exactly what you’ll see from him in this series. We’re excited to team up with Apple Music and give the world an intimate look into the rise of an entertainment icon.”
The five-episode series will debut on April 17 and will give his longstanding fanbase, “Taylor Gang” an introspective look into the rapper’s world.
“Taylor Gang has been with me since the start, so I wanted to make something to show just how far we’ve come,” Khalifa said of the series.
