Beyoncé super-fans, notoriously known as the Beyhive, have taken their love and loyalty for their beloved Bey a little too far. Now, Beyoncé’s long-time publicist Yvette Noel-Schure, is speaking out on behalf of her client, asking her fans to stand down with the bullying of Nicole Curran, the wife of Warriors owner Joe Lacob.
Noel-Schure posted a sincere message on Instagram along with a photo of JayZ and Beyonce on the OTR II tour last year, in an attempt to set the record straight. She wrote, “I am looking back today at the start of The OTRII tour, one year ago. It was a place of joy, unimaginable entertainment from two of the best performers in the world, and a place of love. Every single day on that tour, I saw love.”
She continued, “Which is why I also want to speak here to the beautiful BeyHiVE. I know your love runs deep, but that love has to be given to every human. It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name. We love you.”
According to tweets posted by ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne, Curran disabled her Instagram account on Thursday morning because she had been receiving death threats by Beyoncé fans over a video of her speaking to Jay while sitting courtside during Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The Beyhive responded by dragging Curran for allegedly invading Beyoncé’s personal space when she leaned over to speak with both the singer and her husband.
One of Shelburne’s tweets read, “She had no idea anything was even amiss until she got home and started seeing texts from friends and checked her social media.” Allegedly, Curran simply asked the couple if they wanted anything to drink; Beyoncé asked for water, and Jay asked for a vodka soda. Curran leaned in closer to hear his response and asked if he wanted a lime.
Shelburne quoted Curran in a subsequent tweet that read, “‘I’ve never experienced cyber bullying like this. I can’t believe our players go through this. That kids go through this.’”
