As rumors quickly circulated that the Big Baller Brand is dead, LaVar Ball’s team released a statement saying the brand is “alive and well,” and a rebrand is one the way.

Speculation erupted after visitors to the BBB website noticed that upon going to the site, there’s a brand logo that instructs users to click it to shop online. Instead of bringing visitors to a page to buy merchandise, an infomercial featuring LaVar’s disgraced business partner, Alan Foster, appears.

The brand has been on a rollercoaster ride ever since Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball sued Foster for allegedly embezzling more than $2 million, which are allegations Foster has denied. Lonzo also appeared on a podcast back in September and said the $500 pair of ZO2 Prime sneakers that he would wear during NBA preseason games, would regularly explode on him, which would cause his performance to suffer.

However, despite the website confusion, Denise White, a representative for LaVar Ball, tells ESPN, “The Big Baller Brand is alive and well.” She added, ”The brand has been restructuring, and we are working to reveal the new website in the next few weeks. It will have a new look and new name (www.BigBallerBrandInc.com).”

“Unfortunately, Alan Foster continues to try and leverage the Ball Family name for his own personal gain,” the statement read. It continued by saying, “Alan Foster is a convicted felon who served 7 years in jail for defrauding people out of their money. He is a thief and con man and cannot be believed or trusted.”

Further, LaVar has claimed that despite the interest in his sons, from powerhouse brands like Nike, they will continue to work with the family brand.
