T-Pain has canceled his upcoming 1UP DLC Tour due to low ticket sales.

The rapper took to his Instagram this past Sunday to post a candid video in which he revealed the real reason why he was pulling the plug on his upcoming tour.

“I was advised to lie about this and say that I needed some time, or I needed some alone time or me time or some shit like that,” he admitted. “We f**ked up. I’mma keep it real with y’all. Most artists lie. Whenever concerts or tours get cancelled, it’s for low ticket sales.”

T-Pain explained to fans that he and his team had hoped to coast on the momentum generated by the first 1UP Tour and that producing the follow up while cutting corners would be a breeze, but it wasn’t in the cards.

“I just thought since the first 1UP tour went well and sold out in every city, this should be good as well,” he explained. “Having said that, I’m gonna take it upon myself to cancel the tour. It would have just been a bad look for me, and it wouldn’t have been entertaining for y’all.” In the post’s caption, T-Pain expressed his heartfelt apologies once again and informed fans, “all tickets will be fully refunded.”

Fans were understanding of the decision and appreciative of the rapper’s honesty.
