The inductees for the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have just been announced, and finally, one of the most amazing voices of all time is among this year’s list of inductees.

Whitney Houston, who has been eligible since 2010, will finally be enshrined among some of the most iconic performers in music.

According to the NY Post, the late pop music superstar, who changed the way every new diva sang, got in on what was shockingly her first nomination when the rock hall class of 2020 was announced Wednesday morning.

Musicians and Artists become eligible for to join music’s exclusive club 25 years after their debut albums were released.

Houston shares the induction honor with Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, the Notorious B.I.G., and T. Rex.

They all made the cut from a group list of 16 nominees that were announced last October, beating out other rock music legends like Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Dave Matthews Band, and Pat Benatar.

Nominee ballots were sent to an “international voting body of more than 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry,” but voting was also open to the general public, who also participated in the selection process.

The ceremony will take place on May 2nd at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio.
