Comedian Kevin Hart entered the entertainment scene in the early 2000s and hasn’t slowed down since. He’s often referred to himself as “the hardest working comic in show business,” and his most recent announcement proves that he is putting in the work to be worthy of the title. The mission of Hart’s Laugh Out Loud comedy network is, “to become the biggest, boldest, and most influential multi-platform and multi-dimensional comedy business in the world.”
Now, in an attempt to stay true to its mission, the network is going global. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network will premiere a new stand-up comedy series that features over 300 comics of color from over 30 different countries around the world, making it the most diverse showcase of its kind.
“Since our launch, Laugh Out Loud has been committed to elevating the diverse voices that are shaping culture and the future of comedy,” Hart said in a statement. “Comedy in Color takes this to the next level. We’ve put together one of the biggest comedy showcases in the world…. and we’re excited to bring this groundbreaking program to over 20 million viewers through Comedy in Color’s debut on Pluto TV.”
The Comedy In Color showcase will feature a wide range of comedic artists. Viewers can expect appearances from well-known talents like Lil Rel Howery and Ronny Chieng. International comics Rafinha Bastos and Vir Das will also be featured, in addition to a host of emerging newcomers. In addition, Pluto TV subscribers will also have access to a curated list of content and original series from Hart’s Laugh Out Loud network.
