Lori Loughlin, known for playing ‘Aunt Becky’ on the series ‘Full House,’ is still facing charges due to a college admissions scandal at the University of Southern California. However, the judge involved in the case is looking into USC for their role in the scandal as well.

According to TMZ, the judge on the case is requiring USC to provide ‘unredacted documents,’ stemming from the college admissions scandal, as the documents presented have misled the court, as specific information had been blacked out. As a result, the judge hopes to spotlight a history of favoritism amongst students with influence and wealth, being easily admitted to the University.

Though prosecutors claim USC does not grant special treatment to students if wealthy individuals or celebrities vouch for them, according to the publication, the judge reveals she’s since come across unedited emails proving that to be a lie and to ‘directly contradict’ said claims.

Loughlin and her husband’s attorneys, along with other defendants, claim USC gives “preference” for admission to people with “money, power, and influence.”

The actress and her husband are currently facing charges of conspiracy to commit federal program bribery after attempting to get their daughter recruited as an athlete to USC’s crew team with a “side-door” payment of $500,000. Though, their daughter has never participated in the sport. This charge carries a fine of $250,000 and up to 5 years in prison, Fox News reports.

The duo also faces charges such as money laundering and conspiracy. If convicted on all charges, the couple could face 40 years in prison.

Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are set to go to trial on October 2020.
