Troubled singer Tory Lanez has officially been charged in connection with the shooting incident involving rapper Megan Thee Stallion.Â
According to TMZ, the L.A. County D.A.’s Office charged him with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
The charges come two weeks after the Canadian rapper/singer released his album “DAYSTAR,” in which he proclaimed his innocence and accused the Savage rapper of trying to frame him for the shooting.
TMZ sources claim that the prosecutors had considered a charge of felony assault with a firearm against Tory after Megan said she was shot back in July.Â
At the time of the July shooting, Lanez was arrested but only charged with possession of a firearm. Now prosecutors are now explicitly implicating Tory as the shooter.
